About me

I grew up in Melbourne and went to kindergarten at the age of 3. I remember standing at an easel with pots of paint and large brushes, I loved watching the colours emerge onto the paper as I wielded the brush. Since then art has played a big part in my life.

For many years I practised as an artist. I noticed how I experienced inner peace and liveliness when I worked with images and colour. I studied art therapy and began to change how I worked. As a result, I engaged with others more deeply as I experienced art as a way of healing.

Years of travel, work, study, the birth of my children and grandchildren, moving to a community in the bush, a new partner in my life – slowly, happily my life evolved. Then in my sixties, I was devastated by the loss of my partner. My sense of peace and trust in life was changed. Now after further study and establishing my own psychotherapy practice, I have a zest for life I never imagined possible.

I have recently moved from my small community near Kyogle, in northern New South Wales, to live with my family in Brisbane. After completing my Masters in Gestalt Therapy, I have a busy private psychotherapy and supervision practice, and facilitate Gestalt art experience workshops. I teach art therapy for counsellors and mental health workers. I see clients online and in person in Brisbane.

My professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Science from Southern Cross University, and a Masters of Gestalt Therapy from Gestalt Therapy Brisbane. I am a clinical member of PACFA and a registered Accredited Supervisor.
