Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt is a German word that implies how we make sense of the world. Gestalt therapy was developed in the early 1950s by a group of psychiatrists, psychologists, philosophers and educators as a reaction to the psychoanalysis of the time. It provides a holistic philosophical engagement with being human. It privileges experience, authentic living and human relating.
Gestalt therapy is about the client-therapist relationship. As the client and therapist connect, an opportunity for authentic and meaningful meeting unfolds, where the focus recognizes the mutual influence and co-creation of the therapeutic process.
Style of working
We work together to develop self awareness and make contact with your true essence so you feel more confident in your daily living. As you share your stories you gain clarity and understand your emotional world more deeply. You experience your purpose, power and strength, and start to engage more authentically with yourself and the people around you.
You will approach difficult situations with more ease and insight.
My style of working includes body awareness, art and working with figurines.
